RESOLVED: from Owner: Haylee is home! A man found her and someone he knew had seen a poster. He called us and we found her scared and hiding outside of his house. She had moved to another neighbourhood. Thanks so much for the help! She was full of ice and very hungry, but she’s doing great now!

Haylee is a 6-year-old female missing since about 4pm on Wednesday, February 23rd in the Lucien Dr./Swanton Dr. area of Dartmouth, but she could be anywhere. She was staying with family while we were away and ran off when she was let out to use the bathro…om. She did not have her collar on. She is VERY timid and will not go to anyone she doesn’t know. If you spot her, please call us RIGHT AWAY and try to keep an eye on her but do not approach her… she will run. She is about 28lbs.

Roaming Dog looking for owner: Fairview area. AC is picking the dog up. We just found a older, beige mix, dog at the top of the Fairview Area. It is wearing a red collar, with black stripes, and is very timid. 

We called animal services and they should be here soon, but I thought that it would be good if the owner was looking for them, …that they would know that their dog is in a safe place, and not out in the cold. (HeatherM/contacted/11pm Feb 24th)

Roaming Dog: Three Brooks:(from Discussions/facebook) A friend of mine just called me and said she just saw a collie running around the train tracks in 3 Brooks subdivision near the Sir John A MacDonald school. She got as close as she could and saw his name was Speedy and that there was a phone number on the tag, but no address. She didn’t have her phone on her at the time, when she turned around to get it he had taken off.

“Hi Heather,

I have found a loving home for this little guy.  I live in a rural area, on a dirt road but many of the homes are large and have a lot of land, it is becoming more and more a dumping area for pets.  People are driving in and dropping off their animals, knowing that someone in the subdivision will take them in and care for them.  The vet has also agreed with this.  So, I went ahead and found the little a guy a great home with a loving family.  Thank you for your help – and concern over the pup.

Has ear infection that we treated, as well as new shots.

Owner called – They were found at the pound! SAFE!

2 pups on Bissett Lake Road, in Cole Harbour at aprox. 3 in the afternoon February 24th/2011. Please contact if seen or if you have them! The grey one is Titan (Male 4 months)and the dark one is Bella (female unspayed 1 year), very friendly. Both have collars, Bella has a black collar and Titan is wearing a harness type collar that is red.

Small male dog, beige coloured fur. Somewhat like a shnauzer perhaps. He has a black collar on, but no tags. Found Wednesday, February 23rd on the corner of Victoria and Symonds in Dartmouth.

LOST DOG: XAVIER

FOUND: XAVIER, male, young, AmStaf, Armview/Rotary Area – Home Safe n’ Sound

Xavier was lost Monday Feb 21 at 10:10pm, near the Halifax rotary. He was last seen on Armview Ave in Halifax. He is 3.5 years old, recently neutered, he’s an Amstaff, brindle in color. (about 70 lbs)
He was wearing a big leather collar and… a choke chain when he ran off. He was also dragging a leash with him.
He’s good with other dogs, and will not bite people, but he is barking around new people.If you have any info on Xavier, or have found him, we are offering $300 for his safe return.
Any help finding him would be wonderful!
