UPDATE: SIGHTING – 4.16.13: From the Owner: “This dog has been missing since January 13th. – and has been sited today on the North Ohio Road and also on the track – when it was originally lost it had a collar and GPS with identification on both but when sited today both collars are missing – if you see this dog please call 742-4506 (home) or cell 749-6348 so we can check to see if it is indeed our missing Prince. UPDATE: 1.15.13 – SIGHTING: Thursday January 10, 2013: From the Owner – “This afternoon we had a call from folks who live across the road from the Oakfield Park Road. Late last week (Thursday?) they recalled seeing a small black dog that they did not recognize (and which seemed to be alone) running through the small field between the road and the Anglican Church. At the time they did not know that Coal was missing because they had not seen the posters. If this dog was Coal it gives us some hope that she wasn’t taken by an animal on Wednesday evening. Let’s hope that we get a fresh sighting soon!!”

Additional Info:  We are looking for our dog Coal! She is a black Shitzu about 14 lbs with a collar on and possibly a red heart tag with rabies vaccination information on it. We lost her at 6:30 pm in Oakfield Park (the 9th of Jan). We have been looking for her all night and she hasn’t responded!

This is a very small dog who had prints smaller than my dog who is 12 lbs.. This dog has been sighted for a couple of days now and may have been with another dog, with a similar description, that was picked up 2 days ago by someone my friend knows….

Breed or Mix: Great Pyrenees

Sex: Female, Age: Seven

Collar/Tags: Blue Collar with Red “Noah’s Farm” Tag

Area: Hollow Mountain Road, Delaps Cove, Annapolis, NS

Additional Notes: Rebecca is primarily white with some light tan markings. She has medium-length hair. She is average-size for a Great Pyr. She has extra toes. She is a trained livestock guardian dog – friendly but also very independent and resourceful. She was raised with livestock rather than in a house setting. She was pregnant – close to term. She began throwing up the night she disappeared and was let out. It’s possible she found a spot some distance from her home to have the pups (we have three other dogs, and she gets along with all but one). We conducted several searches in the bush (our home is surrounded by bush) and put out loads of food for her each morning. For the first few weeks the food disappeared before noon, but lately there has been no activity. The pups may have become too difficult for her to bring with her as they grew older, and she may have found another food source. We are still hoping and praying she will turn up at the house with pups. Rebecca is a very capable dog – we can see her being extremely protective of the pups. She can also travel quite a distance in a short time.

It’s believed that he wandered into the woods on the 23rd so it’s possible he went as far as Black Pond Road/Wedgeport or even further.
