SIGHTED: New Ross / Harris Lake/ Chester area of Lunenburg Co. BLACK DOG: male,  looks somewhat like a med. sized shepherd with pointed ears, short coat. Tracks were seen in the snow this morning around 10:30 am, a dog was spotted on the lake around 5:00 pm, Jan.15/12 on the west side of the lake in the “Lake Ridge” area. There are no permanent residents on this lake. Visit with Oliver went very well today!! He actually walked into a room to meet us!! The doctors are pretty optimistic now that he can keep his leg and might even let him come home as early as tomorrow….Thanks for all the support and for all the good work you guys do! People really need this site for times like this!

No surgery yet. The vets are doing everything they can to save Oliver’s leg at this point. He has a lot of damage but they are treating him right now and they want to wait and see how he responds. HAPPY ENDING: Oliver is Home and Safe.  However all is not great and we must keep our fingers/paws crossed for Olivers full recovery.  From the Owner: “Oliver was found today caught in a trap. He is pretty badly injured and will have surgery tomorrow morning.
