UPDATE 1/17/12 evening: From his Owners: 

Visit with Oliver went very well today!! He actually walked into a room to meet us!! The doctors are pretty optimistic now that he can keep his leg and might even let him come home as early as tomorrow….Thanks for all the support and for all the good work you guys do! People really need this site for times like this!

UPDATE: 1/17/12 morning – From his Owners:

No surgery yet. The vets are doing everything they can to save Oliver’s leg at this point. He has a lot of damage but they are treating him right now and they want to wait and see how he responds. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your support and assistance in getting the word out about our boy!!

HAPPY ENDING: Oliver is Home and Safe.  However all is not great and we must keep our fingers/paws crossed for Olivers full recovery.  From the Owner: “Oliver was found today caught in a trap. He is pretty badly injured and will have surgery tomorrow morning. Thank to our neighbors and friends and everyone who helped spread the word to get Ollie back home alive.”  We are so happy that Oliver was found and now we wait for his surgery to be a great success as well.  (1/12/12 – 1/15/12)

Additional Notes: Brindle pattern with short fur of black and orange with large white patch on chest. Black face. Thin muscular dog with docked tail. Shy around strangers (might bark but not aggressive).
