HAPPY ENDING: Safe and sound.  This dog was picked up by Animal Services today and is safe and sound in a warm, dry kennel having supper.  Thanks to all who reported seeing this dog and for contacting Animal Services about this dog.  He may be still wandering around loose or worse if it wasn’t for you.  And thanks to all who shared his information.  Wonderful!!!  (1/15/12 – 1/25/12)

 

SIGHTED: New Ross / Harris Lake/ Chester area of Lunenburg Co. BLACK DOG: male,  looks somewhat like a med. sized shepherd with pointed ears, short coat. Tracks were seen in the snow this morning around 10:30 am, a dog was spotted on the lake around 5:00 pm, Jan.15/12 on the west side of the lake in the “Lake Ridge” area. There are no permanent residents on this lake. Please cross post and if you know of a dog missing matching this description please report to Animal Services @543-2022.***STOCK PHOTO*** thanks Evelyn for reporting.

    This guy was picked up today after making his rounds throughout New Ross. He is now with the Chester Municipality dog catcher.

      Thanks so much Laura for letting us know. So pleased this dog is now safe and sound. Thrilled he is in a warm, dry kennel this evening and not the woods. Let’s hope he either finds his old home, or a new home soon.
