FOUND: Roaming Dog: White Hills Run, Hammonds Plains, HRM, NS - Yellow Lab, male, no tags, friendly

Jan.11/12 Wandered into Creative Kids Education Centre today (close to Madeline Symmonds School) and wouldn’t leave. No tags so they couldn’t contact the owner. Eventually, they had to call animal control. Please if you have any information contact Animal Services at 490-4000 or the Pound at 407-7283. FOUND: Roaming Dogs: Hodson, River John, Pictou Co., NS – Black Lab Mix, pink collar & Yellow Lab Mix, chain collar

Found 2 dogs in the Hodson River John area. One is a black lab mix, with a pink collar on the other is a golden lab/retriever mix, and they have a choke collar on. They were traveling together. Please if you know whose dogs they are or if they are yours call: 902-351-2112 Anytime

SIGHTED: Roaming Dog: Butler St, South End, Yarmouth, Yarmouth Co., NS – Black Retriever Mix, medium size, chain collar, skittish

ROAMING DOG: Yarmouth/Butler Street area in South End/Yarmouth County very skittish, choke collar still on himher all-black, medium-size. The ‘Sighter’ tried for over an hour but this dog would not be caught.  If you know anyone missing their dog please inform them of this sighting and the location/area. Please cross post.

SIGHTING: Roaming Dogs: Hwy 104, East of Mt Thom, (Near Hwy Sign "136 km 104 East"), Pictou Co., NS – Shepherd or Husky Mix & Fluffy Older Dog (same size)

SIGHTED: Two Roaming Dogs: “We were cruising east along Highway 104, just passed Mount Thom, when around a curve, on the road, were two medium sized dogs. They were in the middle of the road! Fortunately, it was two lanes and we were able to brake enough and get around them in the outside lane. I beeped and tried to scare them off the road. We stopped the car (but had to go quite a bit beyond to stop safely on the shoulder. I backed up to see if we could see them, but they’d gone into the woods.

Here is what I can tell you from this fleeting encounter; bear in mind it was fairly dark–this happened at 5:00 p.m.):
One looked to me like a german shepherd (my husband and daughter thought maybe a husky, but ears standing straight up, and I hold by the idea that it was a shepherd or shepherd mix. That said, if someone in that area is missing a husky, it’s likely theirs!). The other dog was a similar size, but had long hair. It was either an older, obese dog, or a very fluffy dog that wasn’t moving very quickly. 
Again, it was just east of Mount Thom. There was a highway sign that said “136 KM  104 East”
My husband said it was 20 kms before (west of) Exit 20.

SIGHTED: Roaming Dog: Anthony Ave, Ellsworth Estates Subdivision, Centreville, Kings Co., NS – Poodle/Terrier Mix, male, grey/beige, ~15lbs, groomed (shaggy head), black collar

Sighting: Centreville/Ellsworth Estates subdivision, Anthony Ave/Kings Co. MALE: Poodle/terrier mix (?),grey/beige approx. 15-20 lbs, groomed (shaggy head, body clipped moderately short) wearing a thin black collar no tags. Dog was along the road at 4 pm. would not allow the sighter to approach. Let’s hope this dog is not lost but please call Animal Services@ 678-3647 if you happen to see this dog. Thanks to Vincent for caring enough to try to help this frightened dog.

SIGHTING: Sambro area/Halifax Co./HRM FEMALE: German Shepherd, black and brown, long ears, possibly nursing, tiny build. Our member tried to catch her, but she has no collar long ears. She ran off towards Sussex/Old Sambro/ Rocking Stone, or possibly into the woods. If you know anyone missing a dog of this description please let them know of this sighting.
