From Bella’s owners: I found Bella this morning just before sunrise, running along Highway 3. I followed her as she turned down East River Road and went up onto the deck of the first house on the right. She did not know me at all at first, but I got down low and held out a tennis ball. I asked her over and over if she wanted to play ball, and I could slowly see the change in her face as she started to recognize me. It was almost like a Disney film. 🙂 All that was missing was the cheesy soundtrack. She is still shaking a little, but she’s also eaten and is now in the living room with the girls… playing ball, of course.

We are SO grateful to everyone who offered their support in every way. There are some amazing people out there. We feel really blessed to have such great friends and to live in such a community. Myself, Alex, Kasia, Chloe, and our two cats say… THANK YOU! Our family is complete again.

LOST DOG: Mahone Bay, 79 Orchard St. Female: Border Collie X – she is 11 years old but very spry! NAME: BELLA- was wearing a collar with tags – she likes most people but is timid of other dogs. LAST SIGHTING: Exit 11 on Hwy 103, and she had apparently just crossed the highway and was heading south or southwest through the woods. PLEASE CROSS POST let’s get this senior home!

FOUND: Roaming Dog: English Springer Spaniel, female, liver/white, older - Highway 102 between Fall River and Bedford, NS

HAPPY ENDING: This pooch is home safe thanks to Victoria who took this older gal in, fed her and gave her a safe place to rest.  Then she proceeded to visit every vet in the vicinity until she found the owners… AWESOME!!! FOUND DOG: running down the 102 between Fall river and Bedford at around 3:45pm on August 2nd. Female: Springer Spaniel – elder dog approx. 10 years old – eyes are cloudy and she has some fatty cysts. She has been reported to AC. Finder is keeping her safe. Happy Ending: Denver is home safe n’ sound minus a few porcupine quills.  Yippee!!

LOST DOG: Winnie: Senior Poodle Mix, apricot/blonde, female, 13 yrs old - Charles Rd, Glengarry Estates, Timberlea

Winnie has been FOUND! After being spooked by the recent thunder and lightening storm Winnie went missing.  Through her family’s diligence by contacting so many people and with our support they put up posters all over. The community even came together to search for Winnie. YEAH!

A little girl, after seeing a Winnie poster, came to their door and told them she had seen their dog run across the road.  Finally they had a sighting.  Near the area there had been a cat oddly staring at a bush. They checked the bush but did not see Winnie.  The next day they went out to search again and their young (2 year old son) said – “Winnie bush” – so they checked the bush again .. and there was Winnie!!!!

She is doing fine and they have been intouch and will stay in touch with the emergency vets in case she shows any signs of distress from her adventure.

So happy to know Winnie is Safe n Sound!

Glengarry Estates/Timberlea/. Winnie is 13 years old. She is a Blonde/Apricot Poodle Mix She is spooked by the thunder which is why she ran away. Please check your yards, decks, and outbuildings!

Happy Ending: Widget is home safe and sound thanks to a wonderful person who took her in last evening and to the Animal Control who kept her safe over night.  Thanks everyone! Yippee!!!!

Widget is missing in the Beaverbank area. She’s spooked by the storm! She’s not wearing any collar but is microchipped. We have no idea where she was last seen, but has been missing for a few hours now. She looks like a small tri coloured corgi with mostly black.

Found dog: Dartmouth/ MacDonald Bridge plaza area Boston Bull Terrier/ Male neutered wearing a brown flea collar. The finders had him checked for a micro chip and he does not have one. They have notified AC. He is safe and being looked after. Do you know of anyone missing their dog.

LOST DOG: HRM, Female: 1 year old Yorkie mix. Small. Brown/Black/Tan Baby pink collar. Name: CHRISTIE Bolted during fireworks at 10:30pm Sunday night from 6338 Young street. She may be trying to get to WALNUT STREET. Sighted Aug. 1st. on Quinpool and Preston St.
