HAPPY ENDING: Home, Safe n’ Sound! Thank you to those who cared and shared his info, his owner has been identified at this time. (2.19.16 – 2.19.16)

Area: Lancaster Dr, Herring Cove, Halifax, NS

Additional Notes: Dog sighting on numerous occasions. Always roaming on and around Lancaster Dr in Herring Cove. Will not go near people when trying to get its attention. It’s a Shihtzu, quite scruffy looking and doesn’t respond to much. Will stare at you and then keep on walking. Unsure if it belongs to a home and they let it roam or if it has been missing as I have spotted it on more than 10 occasions over a 3 month period. Other people in the area have tried to get its attention as well but no luck. He/she is white with light brown patches. Unsure if there is a tag as I couldn’t get close enough.

Additional Notes: I spotted the dog (don’t know sex) about 830pm Jan 4th at 20 Russell Street in Dartmouth NS. Tries to approach several times, but was not successful. The dog was only about 7lbs, black (maybe some brown) hair dog with a flatish face. A bit of a barker too! Called 311, hopefully they found him. It is way too cold for the little fellow to spend the night out!

Additional Notes: Sighting of a roaming dog at the Pet Valu in New Minas, tried calling him/her and she ran up into the woods towards behind the mall/trailer park. Wearing a red collar, not a real picture but that’s pretty close to what it looked like.

Additional Notes: DOG SIGHTING at 15 Nottingam in Haliburton subdivision. Medium size dog, German Shepard colouring, but smaller, please see stock photo. It was quite dark, but I did spot a collar. He/she ran away and wouldn’t come to me. Headed back up Nottingam to Windsor.

Sighted on: 11/22/2015 (off and on over the last two weeks)

Area: Randolph Rd., Cambridge, King’s, NS

Additional Notes: This boy has been sighted for the last two weeks on Randolph Rd., same as the Michelin plant. It’s important he gets back home safely as he seems to have been attracted to the area by a female in heat. With his colouring that blends in so well he is in danger of getting hurt on the roads and/or a concern with hunting season open. Animal Control is in the process of trying to contain this dog.
