Additional Notes: We just saw a black and white dog. Maybe a border collie walking in the ditch alone by the side of the highway 101 near exit 14. We couldn’t stop.

Additional Notes: A smaller shepherd type dog was spotted roaming near the Esso Gas Station in Milford (Station), HRM. It seemed to be dragging a dark, possibly black leash. Although Alice, a Belgian Shepherd (Tervuren), missing from Elderbank wasn’t wearing a leash at the time, this doesn’t exculde her as someone could have been trying to catch her and put a leash on her… or maybe the sighting is incorrect and it’s not a leash but something else that she got caught on her collar. We just don’t know at this time. If you are in the area, please keep a look out for this dog.

Additional Notes: The witness saw the woman walking the dog in Long Lake Park, she was having a problem getting her friends dog back on leash (the dog is afraid of people when spooked). The witness believes it was a female but not 100% positive. Ten minutes later the same witness saw this dog running down the top of Cowie Hill Rd towards Herring Cove Rd. This was across the parking lot at Halifax Water Commission and down towards Herring Cove Rd. The person walking the dog may still be searching in the park and is not aware that the dog has crossed over Northwest Arm Drive.

UPDATE: Monday, March 12, 2018: This dog escaped it’s finders and is roaming once again as far as we know. We are changing this post from FOUND to SIGHTED. Hopefully it got back home safely, but since we don’t know, please share this dogs info in hopes of helping. Huskies! Amazing escape artists! Thank you.

Additional Notes: This dog was nearly hit by cars on Windmill Rd. It was being kept safe for a while but was able to escape once again and as far as we know is still roaming. Very friendly and very submissive dog. Please share.

Additional Notes: Beagle sniffing around on the side of the road late this afternoon/early evening. On the 118, about 1km past Burnside, heading towards the Fall River turn off. Animal Control was called. This is near the Shubie Trail Head (other end of Lake Charles…going along Shubie canal greenway corridor)… dog could possibly be lost from the trails there or live in that area.
