FOUND A DOG ON OLD COURTHOUSE BRANCH ROAD, Truro Nova Scotia, near saywood subdivision about 8pm, very friendly, appears to be a german sheppard, lab mix. He hopped in the car when we got out to see if he had a collar on! He didnt 🙁 With the storm outside it was too risky to just leave him, he wasnt near any houses.  Please email novascotialostdognetwork@gmail.com if you have any information thank you!

FOUND: Roaming Dog: Beagle/Dachshund Mix (?), young adult, male, blue collar, friendly - Welton St, Sydney, NS

This gorgeous little pup was found just off Welton Street in Sydney< Nova Scotia tonight, Sunday November 20th.… he is pretty thin but looks mostly healthy and of course is being fed well ♥ 🙂 ♥ has a small cut (looks recent) on his front left paw and is wearing a thin, pretty, blue on blue patterned collar ♥ no tags were found. I spotted a black lab type dog with a blue collar near the new exit (I’m not sure what number it is) near the dartmouth business park. Mount Hope area. I tried calling him but he ran into the woods.  If you have any information please contact HRM Animal Services at 490-4000

UPDATED: Nov 24/11 This little fella has been caught thanks to all the efforts of the locals who stepped up and took action for this dogs safety.  Now I wonder if there any owners out there looking for him.

There is a little beagle running loose on the Gunning Cove road, about 1 km from the Birchtown Junction.  Apparently local residents have seen him there for 2 or 3 days, but nobody has been able to catch him.  He is not a puppy and is wearing a collar.  Please contact Animal Services if you have any information on this pooch: Darrel Locke 875-6773

FOUND: Roaming Dog: Border Collie Mix, male, white with brown spots, stocky body with Collie face - Highway 224 ~ 6 km outside Sheet Harbour, NS

A male Border Collie cross has been found roaming Highway  224 about 6 km outside of Sheet Harbour, NS.  He has the stocky body of a bull dog, but the face and look of a Border Collie.  He is mostly white with brown spots.  HRM Animal Control will be picking him up later today.  If you have any information contact HRM Animal Control 490-4000. Thanks to the kind people who took this pooch in from the dangerous highway.

FOUND DOG: Broughton/Sydney area/CB MALE: Yellow Lab mix – young (?) , unaltered, approx. 40 lbs, brown eyes, brown nose with white mark above the nose. Wearing a green collar with blue zig zags. He is very curious, very friendly with strangers, adults, and children, we had the dog groomed and he looked malnourished and dirty when we found him, loves to chew on his toys, very active, loves to explore, potty trained, very affectionate, afraid of loud noises, doesn’t like water. FOUND: Roaming Dog: German Shepherd/Lab Mix, female, red nylon collar, no tags - West Street, Antigonish, NS

FOUND DOG: Antigonish – “Please be advised that the Town of Antigonish Animal Control have in its possession a female German Shepard/Lab mix with a red nylon collar. This dog has no identification tag and was picked up on West Street in the Town of Antigonish on Thursday afternoon. The owner of this dog may contact Animal Control at 870-0881 to make arrangements for pick up.” via X FM website.

SIGHTED: Roaming Dog: Boxer Mix, medium size, no tail, short hair - Near Nursing Home, Armdale, HRM, NS

We spotted a medium size dog at large on his/her own in Armdale close to the nursing home twice between 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm. (Nov 15/11) He/She has no tail and looks to be a short haired mix possibly with bull or boxer. He was in the area for at leaset 1:30 hours but we lost him both times.  If sighted please call HRM Animal Control 490-4000.
