UPDATE: SIGHTED: 6.13.14 – These dogs were spotted on Friday (6.13.14) in the South Maitland area, first by the Information Centre and then across Hwy 215. The 2 dogs sighted looked lost and on a mission. Skinny but OK. PLEASE SHARE, let’s get these boys home.

Additional Notes: Jake is a 5 yr old boxer with a white chest. He is not wearing a collar he weighs approx 80 lbs. Gus is a white and brindle valley bull dog wearing a brown studded collar and weighs approx 50 lbs. Both dogs are friendly however they have never wandered off our property for any length of time therefore may be scared. They went missing between 1-2 pm April 22. Any sightings or information pls contact us – these dogs are more then dogs they are our family so even the smallest detail would be so greatly appreciated! Help us bring our boys home

Area: Dawson Brook area Gravel Access Road, Williams Road, Ellershouse, West Hants, NS
Additional Notes: Osa is 60-65 lbs. She is coloured very similarly to a coyote but with a white chest/belly. Very thick coat that blends in well to the woods/fields. Curly tail like a husky but has floppy ears. She is very friendly! Really loves cheese and ground meat and has a soft spot for salami. She was last seen bolting after a deer near the gravel pit off the service road in Ellershouse, East of Windsor, NS. She has NEVER run off before and we fear she may be injured and hiding/confused/scared. There was a report of her chasing a deer across the 101 and people who pulled over chased her off. The deer was paralyzed (clearly not from a dog) but RCMP said no accident had been reported. It is unknown which direction the people who stopped chased her off to, but the tracks we have found in the surrounding area indicate that she crossed BACK over to the southwest side of the 101. We had been hiking all day up Dawson’s Brook and were on our return to the car parked near the junction of the service road and Williams Road. We live in Grand Pre. We left towels that smell like us, the car, and her at the place we last saw her and where our car was parked.

HAPPY ENDING: Home, Safe n’ Sound!! YIPPEE!!! Well, he’s not home yet, but will be soon. He’s safe with some wonderful caring folks. He was almost hit crossing a road, still trailing his leash – they were able to catch him and bring him to safety. They found out he was missing from a shared post. Just wonderful news.
