Additional Notes: The witness saw the woman walking the dog in Long Lake Park, she was having a problem getting her friends dog back on leash (the dog is afraid of people when spooked). The witness believes it was a female but not 100% positive. Ten minutes later the same witness saw this dog running down the top of Cowie Hill Rd towards Herring Cove Rd. This was across the parking lot at Halifax Water Commission and down towards Herring Cove Rd. The person walking the dog may still be searching in the park and is not aware that the dog has crossed over Northwest Arm Drive.

Collar/Tags: No tags, just moved to NS.

Lost on: 07/27/2016

Area: Newport, Hants, NS

Additional Notes: Kiefer is a deaf, old, skinny and much-loved brindle whippet. His face is quite white. We walked to our next door neighbour’s to water his plants, and somewhere along the way he disappeared. We searched for him until dark, but cannot find him anywhere.

Area: Harmony Road, Nicholsville, Kings, NS

Additional Notes: Roaming dog……A black and white dog, believed to be a young adult, possibly male has been running up and down the road in Nicholsville for the past 3 days. He is running between the Harmony community hall and civic 1857 Harmony Road. He is very skittish, and appears to be limping. He looks very thin and may have been running loose for awhile. Several of the area residents have been trying to catch him but he is too nervous to go to them. I tried to get close enough with food but he scampered away. I did leave food and water for him in the last area he was seen (next to a pond). He may be a lab/whippet or collie mix.
