Area: Woodville road, West Hants, NS

Additional Notes: This dog is to sweet, listens so well and is extremely well behaved. Found at a school bus stop this afternoon at 3pm, shaggy fur mixed colours of brown black and a darker orange, she has a little scratch on her nose but no real markings that stand out! im not sure what bred she is but im thinking a sheppard mix, maybe even some husky…..the fur is coming off of her in clumps!! she followed a friend of mine home from picking her daughter up at the bus stop…. and would not leave her porch, she unfortunately could not give the dog a safe place to sleep. Her husband is away for work and it seemed not safe for her to allow the dog inside as she has a dog already, and is not familiar with how her dog reacts to others. So I have her here with me, she is sleeping in my spare room now, she has lots of food and water and can stay as long as she need until we find the owners! I hope this all helps in finding her owners!! She is just to cute 🙂

Kaylah’s New Leg!!

I think everyone remember’s Kaylah, the Shepherd lost outside of Truro who was found in a Coyote Snare six months later.  She lost her paw but her life was saved thanks to the appropriate action taken by the trapper. He called Animal Control and they found a Vet who would trek the mile and a half into the woods to release Kaylah safely.

HAPPY ENDING: Home, Safe n’ Sound! Yippee!! Animal Control was able to find the owners almost immediately. Thanks to the finder who took the time to catch this dog and bring it to safety. Terrific! (3.11.13 – 4.5.13)

Additional Notes: This is not my dog but a dog that has been roaming our neighbourhood for several weeks. We first only noticed him at night and then he started running around during the day between my house and a neighbour who has dog family members like we do. He looks cared for ie. his coat looks good as do his teeth. He was skittish at first but we got his trust today so that we could leash him and call Animal Control. We find him to be be very friendly now that he has decided we are ok! He has no tags but does have a red collar.
