Additional Notes: This dog came up on our front deck Thursday night. We walked her around the area for a while but no one was out looking. By the look of her legs we think she may have been in the Uniacke House area as there is black mud on them. She stayed at our home last night and is very friendly and well behaved. She just has quite a fear of our cats but loves our other dog. We feel very sad for the owners who are looking for this beautiful doggie and hope we can find them.

Additional Notes: Found at about 10:15 this morning on a busy road. Beautiful girl, well behaved. Very friendly!!! She was picked up by Animal Control at around 11:30 this morning after a failed attempt of locating the owners through the HRM registered tag. The tag belonged to another animal, and owner. I hope she finds her home quickly.

HAPPY ENDING: Safe!!! Yippee!!! This poor dog has been caught and is now safe at Animal Control. Fingers/Paws crossed it can be saved. Hopefully this is now the first step to recovery. Poor baby.  Thank so much to Sheri for reporting this sighting. It probably saved her life. Fantastic! (8.13.13 – 8.14.13)

Additional Notes: Found this evening around 8:30 pm when she wandered up onto our back deck. She is mostly dark brown/black, with some lighter brown patches. Short haired, somewhat curly. May be some sort of poodle off-breed, or have poodle in her make-up. No collar/tags. Very well behaved, quite lovable. Doesn’t seem timid at all, and responds to commands (e.g. come/sit etc. – particularly when treats are involved) – seems to have gotten some training. As of August 13th, we will be calling Animal Control to have them pick her up to scan for a microchip (we unfortunately cannot keep her long term because of our other animals).
