UPDATE to POSSIBLE SIGHTING on 6.10.18: The dog that was sighted around Trout Lake has been found and is now in the care of King’s SPCA. It is a MALE, SENIOR, GOLDEN RETRIEVER. Unfortunately, this dog was not Dixie, but we are glad that this dog is now safe. Thank you to all who cared and shared this sighting. (6.12.18)

UPDATE: POSSIBLE SIGHTING: 6.10.18 – “We thought she was gone but there is a possibility that she has been seen: ‘This morning was leaving Trout Lake when Golden Lab came in driveway, looked like it been alone few months. Getting skinny, lil mange , and an injury to one leg. She started to approach me and than ran back woods. Looks alot like Dixie she was at …Trout Lake Rd, New Albany’ PLEASE SHARE THIS IF THIS IS DIXIE LETS BRING HER HOME”

 

UPDATE: 2.10.18 – “Dixie has been missing since January 18th . She was last seen on wednesday Feb 7th on Morse Rd in Bridgetown, she seems to be staying away from homes and probably timid . She could be from Morse Rd to Perotte Rd. Please spread the word around those surrounding areas. She must be so tired and hungry. Please call 902 532 0301 or message me”

Additional Notes: Chico is a senior citizen (12.5yrs) with a sweet disposition. Will lean into you to be petted. His muzzle is pretty grey now. And he has some white markings on his chest. He has a michrochip linked to our old Ottawa addresses and hopefully stll his tag with his name and my cell and our NS home phone but we are away. So cell number is best.

Additional Notes: Medo (Meadow) is a 2 year old black lab mix with a white patch on her chest and chin with brown eyes and about 40-45 lbs. She is wearing a pink color with pink bone shaped tags with her name and our phone number on it. She is very friendly – loves kids and dogs. Medo was out helping us shovel this evening January 17 and at 6:00 pm – she was sniffing and then disappeared. She is an indoor dog and has never been gone this long. Her kids miss her very much.
