HAPPY ENDING: Safe n’ Sound!!! THANK YOU ROY for taking the time and effort to catch this roaming dog and getting her to safety. Roy went so far as to set up a live trap, and after several failed attempts, cleverly baited it with a steaming hotdog on a string… luring her into the back of the trap… Bingo!! Caught! She is safe at the SPCA in Granton where she will be warm and dry tonight and will be looked over by a vet. Just Fantastic!! Thank you everyone for sharing her info. She most likely will be available for adoption very soon. Yippee!!!! Updated Nov 25/11
Roaming dog: Sylvester, Pictou Co. FEMALE: Lab X She has been spotted chasing cars and also foraging for food. Pictou Animal Services have provided a live trap as she will not allow anyone to approach. Please cross post and if you have any information please contact Animal Services at 902-485-8640. Update: Nov 25/11 There could be two of these dogs roaming as a sighting has been reported with two dogs coming out of the woods and crossing the road…with one chasing the car.

FOUND A DOG ON OLD COURTHOUSE BRANCH ROAD, Truro Nova Scotia, near saywood subdivision about 8pm, very friendly, appears to be a german sheppard, lab mix. He hopped in the car when we got out to see if he had a collar on! He didnt 🙁 With the storm outside it was too risky to just leave him, he wasnt near any houses. LOST DOG: Boxer: Lucy, brindle, female, 1.5 yrs old, beige collar – Highbury School Rd, New Minas, Kings Co., NS. Dog adopted from a rescue organization yesterday. Were out at the Annapolis Valley Shooting Sports Club on Highbury School Road in New Minas – playing with the dog. Was unaware people were shooting. Dog heard a shot and took off running toward White Rock on the main Road. She doesn’t know where home is. She is a 1 1/2 year old Brindle Boxer with white patch on chest. Wearing beige collar. FOUND DOG: Halifax/West End/MacDonald St. FEMALE: Yellow Lab – appears to be 1 to 1 1/2 years old. No collar. May weigh 40-50lbs. Fur on the crown of her head is slightly darker tan. Finder has called Animal Services, the Pound & the closest Vet. This dog was found on their front step. This is very close to Larry O’Connell Ball Field. This gorgeous little pup was found just off Welton Street in Sydney< Nova Scotia tonight, Sunday November 20th.… he is pretty thin but looks mostly healthy and of course is being fed well ♥ 🙂 ♥ has a small cut (looks recent) on his front left paw and is wearing a thin, pretty, blue on blue patterned collar ♥ no tags were found. UPDATED: Nov 24/11 This little fella has been caught thanks to all the efforts of the locals who stepped up and took action for this dogs safety. Now I wonder if there any owners out there looking for him.
There is a little beagle running loose on the Gunning Cove road, about 1 km from the Birchtown Junction. Apparently local residents have seen him there for 2 or 3 days, but nobody has been able to catch him. He is not a puppy and is wearing a collar. A male Border Collie cross has been found roaming Highway 224 about 6 km outside of Sheet Harbour, NS. He has the stocky body of a bull dog, but the face and look of a Border Collie. He is mostly white with brown spots. HRM Animal Control will be picking him up later today. If you have any information contact HRM Animal Control 490-4000. Thanks to the kind people who took this pooch in from the dangerous highway.
