UPDATE to POSSIBLE SIGHTING on 6.10.18: The dog that was sighted around Trout Lake has been found and is now in the care of King’s SPCA. It is a MALE, SENIOR, GOLDEN RETRIEVER. Unfortunately, this dog was not Dixie, but we are glad that this dog is now safe. Thank you to all who cared and shared this sighting. (6.12.18)
UPDATE: POSSIBLE SIGHTING: 6.10.18 – “We thought she was gone but there is a possibility that she has been seen: ‘This morning was leaving Trout Lake when Golden Lab came in driveway, looked like it been alone few months. Getting skinny, lil mange , and an injury to one leg. She started to approach me and than ran back woods. UPDATE: 2.10.18 – “Dixie has been missing since January 18th . She was last seen on wednesday Feb 7th on Morse Rd in Bridgetown, she seems to be staying away from homes and probably timid . Additional Notes: Chico is a senior citizen (12.5yrs) with a sweet disposition. Will lean into you to be petted. His muzzle is pretty grey now. And he has some white markings on his chest. He has a michrochip linked to our old Ottawa addresses and hopefully stll his tag with his name and my cell and our NS home phone but we are away. So cell number is best.

MEDICAL ALERT: Epileptic – Multiple Seizures over the last few days, appears ill, and panting (discomfort). She may be hiding under a deck, shrubbery, an outbuilding – Please search your yards in an effort to get Coco to safety and the medical care she needs. Thank you.

Additional Notes: Coco is a sweet, gentle 6 year old black standard poodle. She has epilepsy and has been unwell for the past two days having had multiple seizures. She appeared ill and panting, which is not unusual for her when she has seizures. I let her out for a pee around 7:00 pm and she has not returned. She always returns within minutes. It is snowing and we have searched the property and no tracks to be found.
