No wonder the dog was tired….. 13 years old is very senior for a lab.” Thanks so much to the finder for keeping this senior safe and then getting it to the mainland safely as well. Additional Notes: An old golden retriever just swam over to my island in Petpeswick (Cross Island) He’s very large. Been here about three hours. Gave him water and a little food. I already have an older female lab. … I phoned neighbours in West Petpeswick but no one knows who owns him. No collar. He seems too tired to swim back. He can stay here a few days until his owners are found.

Additional Notes: Cheeko is black while some white on his chest. He’s very very friendly and usually will come if you call his name. He can be a bit skittish and is scared of loud noises.
He is microchipped. We left our backyard gate open and he walked out. Was seen wandering around Peachtree Hill/Morningfield Lane area of Russel Lake in Dartmouth and was possibly seen later on a leash with a man and two kids. #NSLostDogNetCheeko
