“I found Hurshey around 11:30 this morning. I thought I heard him bark so I headed into the wooded area beside our house. I couldn’t tell if it was my dog crying or a bird chirping. When I was about to turn around and give up, I looked up and found my dog 30ft in the air in a tree. He was terrified and wouldn’t get down. The kind people at Elmsdale fire department came and rescued my dog out of the tree. Thank you everyone for caring and Sharing but Hurshey is now home safe and sound.” From Hurshey’s Very Happy Owner (4.18.13 – 4.19.13)

A HUGE Thank You goes out to the Elmsdale Fire Department for getting Hurshey down from the tree.  They thought at first it was some kind of joke… My dog is stuck in a tree??  Ha-ha… These great guys all showed up to see this for themselves and were the heroes of the day when they got Hurshey out of the tree safely. Yip Yip Yippee!!

We were out in the yard playing soccer with our daughter and the next thing I knew she was gone. I’m so worried about her and just want her to come home.

Additional Notes: Shine was in the yard when a gun shot scared her. She ran down the road. The road is in a large loop so she is likely somewhere nearby. She went missing at 1:30pm. She is very friendly and should come to anyone who calls her.
Shine is active in dog sports so she is very slender and muscular compared to the average family dog.

“He was going up to other dogs on the Ridge and owners were telling him to go home last evening. Obviously looking for help.
So the food was set out on the path in the woods and we sat there. His owner saw him as he approached the food and although a little skittish, he came to her. Beautiful dog and really likes his new owner. Adopted a month ago.

We had food for him and water. He saw a stuffed toy so I gave it to him. He curled up in the van and was ready for sleep, that fast. He wanted to be found.”
