Additional Notes: Does anyone in the far end of Coxheath recognize this pup? It’s been pacing Coxheath road between 2100’s and Levatte’s old pit for a few hours now. She(?) is petite, collared and looks otherwise healthy but obviously tired. She will not come close but food and water has been left in the pit entrance for her so hopefully she stays off the road for the night.

I went out to check the live trap at 430 this morning and there she was sitting pretty! She needed a bath but otherwise looks good and is getting lots of kisses and love from Pierre and I and of course Seamus.Thanks so much to everyone for the time you took to search for her, report sightings, think of us or offer a prayer. Area: Near 3509 Grand Narrows Highway, Boisdale, Cape Breton, NS

Additional Notes: There is a tricoat adult Amstaff mix with a blue collar, tail wasn’t docked, running up Grand Narrows Highway about 10-20km from Christmas Island going toward it (Christams Island – heading south) around house number 3509. I tried to grab him but he kept going onto the highway to avoid me – so I had to leave so he would stay on the shoulder. Looked underweight and was very skittish, but on an adventure, not in flight mode – possibly not lost for long.

Additional Notes: This is a dog that we found, we had also seen him last Sunday night but he didn’t come too close then and so we posted to Facebook but nothing else we could really do. However, now he is back two days later and came up to us more and we were able to get a leash on him. He is VERY friendly towards us. We are going to try and keep him in the garage until morning when we can call SPCA, we aren’t in a position to take him inside as we have two small dogs here. We did call the SPCA who is also listed as animal control here in CB and they said it wasn’t considered an emergency since he doesn’t appear hurt or not trying to hurt other dogs – I was very upset to here this. The vets are also closed at this point (we only spotted him tonight around 7pm). We tried going door to door to a few places and no luck. Called the campground in the area to let them know but also no luck with their campers. We posted on a few Facebook pages and also on Kijij but also no luck so far. We have him in the garage for tonight but he seems very stressed out out there, hoping he will settle and can stay the night. Tried calling the radio stations and there was no answer. Hoping the SPCA will come pick him up in the morning.

Additional Notes: Gamma is super friendly to people but skittish around strange dogs. She has a blue eye and a brown eye, and a Phoenix shaped white patch on her chest. She’s a large breed but not tall, and slightly overweight.
Daisy is high energy and still a lanky puppy. She’s smaller than gamma and looks like a German shepherd going through puberty. She has black “eyeliner” markings around her eyes and the attention span of a ferret exclusively being fed red bull. She is also very friendly.

Area: Johnson Rd., North Sydney, Cape Breton, NS

Additional Notes: This is a sighted dog in full flight mode.It was running from yard to yard on the Johnson Rd. It went through a yard into the road behind Johnson Rd, Douglas court . perhaps. The dog had a limp on the front paw. It may have been hit by a car as it was running haphazardly on a very busy road. This dog may need medical attention. Perhaps older as bit of white around muzzle. Colour similar to coonhound, dark tan and black. We were unable to approach the dog for fear of frightening it back onto a busy road. There was no collar .The dog is medium build with a front limp. We were unable to get a pic as the dog was obviously panicky.
