HAPPY ENDING: Home, Safe n’ Sound: Lost Dog: Head of Chezzetcook, Halifax Co Co., NS — Nova Scotia Duck Toller, Male, 5 Yrs — “Leo”

Leo

HAPPY ENDING: Home, Safe n’ Sound! Yeah! Lucky Leo as we’re calling him now, was found 4 km away caught in a coyote trap by a DNR trapper. Here’s what we really like about this responsible trapper, even though so many of us are against trapping… He was checking his traps regularly as was expected by law and what saved Leo’s paw, and he brought beautiful Leo home. So Leo was a very lucky boy. Did we mention the nearby Bobcat too? This does not open our page to hatred against anyone who traps or otherwise, there are plenty of sites you are welcome to join and advocate for or against. Thanks as well to all who cared and shared Leo’s info… YIPPEE!!! (11.28.17 – 11.30.17)

Dog has been safely returned home. It had been caught in a legally set coyote trap several KMs from home.

Thank you for the update Laurie. I would say it was a responsible trapper, whether or not you agree with trapping, if Leo was returned home after being caught, yes indeed. Thank you again for the good news about Leo.
