Possible sighting, a rabbit hound/beagle was seen by the Kelly Road in Carleton, Yarmouth County, NS walking along the road, but disappeared before the person could get out of her vehicle.
I saw a dog looking similar on the side of the 101 a few weeks ago. The dog was tearing into a garbage bag that had a bacon package in it I figured it was hungry. I tried to get to him/her but she seemed lame and timid. I even threw some food to the dog but no go. Went up the road and turned around and tried again eventually the dog crossed the hwy and went in the woods and on to a trail I followed but the closer I got the more she ran and was lame so didn’t want to stress her. Looked like he she had been outside a while. I last saw the dog headed towards the meteghan exit. Dogs can go a ways so thought I would mention it.
