Baby

HAPPY ENDING: Home, Safe n’ Sound!! Yippeeeeeeeeeee…. After four (4!!) long months, Baby has been caught and is safe and healthy. The thank you goes out to a team of people, including all of you who helped by caring and sharing her info. But, a special thanks goes out to Michelle Redmond, a volunteer with the SPCA for heading it up. In the darkest moments, she was always there to go search, put up posters… I don’t think there was one sighting she didn’t go and check out herself. And for a lot of that time there was also the help of Kathy Thomas of the SPCA. These two women, never gave up and are a testament to how hard work pays off… especially with a lost pet.  Baby was found thanks to reported sightings and kind folks who let the live trap be used on their property. She was found around Lake Charles off the Waverly Rd. After days of luring her out of the deep dark woods, they were able to trap her this morning. Well done Michelle and Kathy… BRAVO!!! (7.31.14 – 11.28.14)

Additional Notes: Just to clarify for everyone, Baby, her Mom Marcy and brother Odie all came into the care of the SPCA when their owner was no longer able to provide for them. All 3 are very sweet and loving dogs who were exposed to very little in their early lives. Because of this they are very nervous of all new things. Baby was the youngest and most nervous and was placed in a foster home in hopes of introducing her to all the great things the world has to offer. Unfortunately, she got spooked and escaped through a screen window.( something which shocked everyone as her typical reaction was to hide). She has been missing since July 31st. There have been sightings of her in both the Penhorn and Waverly areas. if you live or travel in the area of Gaston Road, Penhorn Lake, Prince Arthur Jr. high, or Montebello, Waverly, Please spread the word and keep an eye. Report sightings to Michelle at the number below.

SPCA dog in foster, escaped from her foster home, broke through a screen. VERY timid but friendly. May not approach you, please report any sightings. Baby, 1 yo, female spayed (recent spay, tummy shaved). 30 pounds. Grey/brown with some white, wire medium length fur.
