Additional Notes: I have only had this dog for a week. She is a brown and white dog with floppy ears and long hair. She looks like a very small sheltie with the added cuteness of some fluffy, fly-away hair that hangs over her eyes a bit. She has one blue eye and one brown eye  I noticed she was very timid. Not long after having her in my care, I realized she was not only timid but acted scared of everything-people, noises and she would even react startled to even the softest sounds. She didnt care for being approached and would cower but was a bit better if I repeatedly said “good girl” as I approached her.  She was starting to come around a bit and even came to the door a few times when I came back in from outside. She did show some excitement when I threw the tennis ball for her and it seemed she would keep fetching and returning it for as long as I was willing to continue throwing it. She must have scratched the door open and managed to squeeze by it. I looked and alerted neighbors but it was dark and today, i did the same plus put out some flyers and no sign of her and no calls. I am very close to the 103 Highway heading south (to Liverpool, Shelburne, Barrington, etc), heading West toward Halifax, one road goes into the town of Bridgewater, the opposite goes through Wileville, Newcombville, eventually The Valley. Heidi-Delaney came from Yarmouth. Any help or suggestions you may be able to offer would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks for your time. Kindest Regards,
Jeanene Crowell

FOUND! SHE’S HOME! Thanks to everyone who looked, passed the word, put up a flyer, posted comments, called or assisted in some way. The folks at The lostdognetwork.com are so kind and caring, and I am so greatful to them for sharing their knowledge with me and advising me of ‘what to do’ to get her-or any dog-that is scared and running. The Lunenburg County Animal Control were so understanding, CKBW kindly announced it, and “The Little Red Barn” Owners in Wileville were so caring & helpful and I appreciate their genuine concern. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO OFFERED ME your kind thoughts, Prayers and well-wishes. I am so thankful for the wonderful people in this community where I live. I met some very nice folks over the past few days:)
Delaney is going to be fine. No visible signs of trauma. She’s tired out but continues to wake up to see where I am, wag her tail, give a couple kisses and then back to sleep. I am giving her small amounts of water, often. She will be checked out by my vet, as well. And, I will be putting gates on my deck, so if she goes out the door again, their will be another barrier in place to prevent her from going any further! Dog tags will be made and I saw a neat thing at the Vet’s office in Wileville that you put on their collar to make them more visible at night which I plan to get and use asap!
Again, my heartfelt thanks to you all. My little girl’s tears have dried and so have mine. We will rest better tonight for sure:)
