UPDATE: 8.22.13 –  SIGHTING!! This afternoon there was just a sighting of what they think is Strider on Belmore Dr, in Wellington, NS. If you are in the are and can search there the help is appreciated. However, remember he is nervous, but loves balls.  Stay low and go slow if you see him. He may come out to the sound of a bouncing ball. DO NOT CHASE. The owner is on the way.  Fingers/Paws crossed here. Good Boy Strider!!

Breed or Mix: Border Collie

Sex: Male, Age: 4 yrs

Collar/Tags: No collar he backed out of it. Black and white, his ears stand up when he is excited. Very cautious of people

Lost on: 08/17/2013

Area: Holland Road, Fletchers Lake, HRM, NS

Additional Notes: Strider is a great dog but fearful of new people. He was boarding with us and is usually good off leash. Today he backed out of his collar and took off into the woods. We are close to the airport and fall river area.

  1. It is possible that Strider ws picked up in elmsdale by a man this morning in a truck. He spoke to Elmsdale vet clinic and asked for numbers to dog catcher and east hants SPCA. I called the numbers available and no luck as of yet. this dog was wearing a collar and it is possible someone put a collar of him and he escaped again.
