    Good Evening,

Earlier this evening around 5 p.m. I was in downtown Halifax and saw a dog who looks a lot like Heidi. She was running on Barrington Street and around the streets surrounding the Marriott. My friend and I tried to catch her desperately, but she was running scared and bolted whenever anyone approached. There were others who were tracking her and trying to catch her. One woman reported her to animal control. The last we saw of her, she had run into the lower base at Stadacona, the entrance off Valour Way. The woman who called animal control (I don’t have her name or contact information) went over to speak with the guard at the gate and explained the situation to him. I’m sorry that I don’t have more information or that I didn’t see your post until now.

My prayers are that you find her.

    Regards,
    Kyla

Thank you so much for trying to catch her. The owners, Dockyard, and SPCA are all aware that she was last seen in that area. But we really appreciate your effort and for reporting your sighting … It’s never too late. Hopefully she will be caught tomorrow though they may have to wait out her fear a bit.

Here is a great website on how to approach a lost dog in fear/flight mode:

      Thanks again,
