Just thought I’d share this story about this little lost dog. Today, Monday, when I went to pick up the mail at the end of our subdivision, I saw a sign taped to the boxes telling about a found dog in the area of Erin Leigh and that she had concerns about this dog. . There was a phone number. I called the number because I remember seeing the ad on my facebook wall about a lost dog in that area. The lady told me she had found the dog in her yard on Saturday. Apparently it had followed her own dog home. She took it in and fed it and called the SPCA about it. She let the dog out on her step in case it wanted to go home. She apparently went around the neighborhood to see if she could find the owners, but only one family was home and they didn’t know anything about a lost dog. When she later looked outside, she saw that the SPCA had arrived and taken the dog. She was very upset and called them. They assured her that the dog would be well taken care of. I told the lady about the facebook notice and would let her know if the dog found her owners. When we finally got our power back on, I immediately went to my facebook wall and say that “Babygirl” was found. I phoned the lady and told her. She became very emotional and was happy the dog’s owners were found. The lady’s name is Donna Matheson and I would like to express my thanks to her for her kindness in all of this. I’m sure the owners would like to know about this. I am so happy that we have this “Lost Dog Network” on Facebook. And thanks to Bev Sibley for posting about this dog going missing. Dianne Humphrey
