Additional Notes: She is mostly brown with white neck, brown eyes but beautiful face features. Black on her tail and up by her neck. Her ears are not usually up, they are soft like a beagle. She has an extra nail on her two front paws and she can be hyper. She sits and gives paw if you get her attention. But does not bite. Very friendly. Loves the mailman – kind of dog she is – he is helping with our search. SPCA has been notified.

HAPPY ENDING: Home, Safe n’ Sound! At least we hope they are… these runners have been identified as living in the area of the sighting and have been known to be allowed to roam. Our job has been done, we hope that any future sightings are also reported to Animal Control in hopes of keeping these dogs safe in the long run. Thank you to all who cared and shared their info. Area: Gaspereau River Bridge, Melanson, Kings, NS

Additional Notes: I just sighted two dogs running across the Gaspereau River bridge in Melanson (in front of Reid’s Meats) and and along the dykes. There was no person with them and they were moving along quickly, looking a bit disoriented. I didn’t get a photo but they both looked like weimaraners. I wasn’t able to go search for them, but after nearly hitting them on the road, I did turn around to see they left the road and headed down along the River.

(3am) It sounds made up, but her daddy was asleep on the couch and she walked up and licked him.. then he noticed the front door (with a lever handle) was open. She found her way home, AND let herself in. She’s soaked, freezing and tired after a big day, but happy to be all snuggled up. What a journey she’s had!” Fantastic… wow! You are amazing Nala!! 3:00 pm-ish – “Possible sighting up Irwin Lake road at the Christmas Tree Farm.. I drove up and went as far as the gate with treats and a squeaker toy, but if it was her I’d say she’s long gone from there 😔”
