HAPPY ENDING: Home, Safe n’ Sound!! Yippee!!! Fundy Vets: “Winston and his owner have been reunited. Thank you to the NS Lost Dog Network!”  Thanks to those who reported seeing a lost dog, to whomever dropped him off at the Vets, Fundy Vets, and all those who shared. (1.8.13 – 1.9.13)

UPDATE: 1.9.13 – This cutie is now Found and with Fundy Vets: “Found roaming along the road in Shubenacadie. Brought in to Fundy Veterinarians Ltd. Recently groomed, male cocker spaniel, tail docked, fearful, no collar, no microchip. Fundy Veterinarians Ltd, shubie@fundyvets.com (902) 758-3180“

Additional Notes: Short hair Cocker Spaniel.. Beige .. Appears to have an injured leg..limping. Timid. No collar or tags. Attempted to “catch” but unable to.. Kept running when even cautiously approached.

RAINBOW BRIDGE: Passed Away.  It’s with a heavy heart that we share this news from the Owners: “Sad news: Kenny has been found not far from where he went missing, but has passed away.  Some closure after a few months of wondering. Thanks for all your help NSLDN.”  Our sincerest condolences go out to Kenny’s family. (1.8.13 – 3.10.13)

 

UPDATED: Jan. 9, 2013 – Half a HAPPY ENDING: From the Owners: “Shankly (one at the top) has returned…still no sign of Kenny. Last heard in the woods of Dean’s Corner”

Collar/Tags:  red and black collar with a Red/pink 2012 Lunenburg Dog tag as well as a bone shaped name tag

Area: between Upper First Peninsula Road and the water, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, NS

Additional Notes:  lost on first peninsula, last seen/heard behind “The Ernst’s Farm” in the wood by the inlet.  Kenny is Predominately Black with brown spots and a white diamond on the nape of the neck. Has a brown Head and snout. It also looks like he is wearing eyeliner. Both dogs are friendly and may come if called.

Additional Notes: Penny has smooth short hair.  Black with white markings. White “line” between her eyes. Great temperment especially loves kids and other dogs. She got out of the house at a family gathering unknown to us and was spooked by some fire works. She is very good off leash and always comes when called so this is out of character for her

Additional Notes: Nicky is a small sized Beagle who went missing from the Cookville area on Jan 5/13. She is white, black, and brown and is 11 years old. She went missing while out rabbit hunting around the Rhodenizer Road and she is Not familiar with the area. Based on tracks in the snow, we believe she is still close to the Rhodenizer Road/Dauphinee Road area, but she may have wandered further by now. Nicky is wearing an orange collar with a bell attached.

Additional Notes: 2 loose dogs spotted about half way up the upper part of Duggan drive (appeared to be traveling together). First was medium size, resembled border collie/mix in shape and size, dark in color. Second appeared younger, medium height, slim, appeared to be amstaff or valley bull mix in shape, also dark in color. Dark outside so didn’t get a great look at them. When I opened my door they ran together up Duggan drive. This was around 12:20-12:30 am

HAPPY ENDING: Home, Safe n’ Sound!! Yippee!! The owners had reported her missing, yes “her”, to Animal Control and when the finders reported her found, they were brought together. (1.5.13 – 1.5.13)

Area:  Sackville Drive, Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia, NS

Additional Notes: Dog responds to “sit” and “down”. Dog is missing a lot of hair off its behind and has a white ring of fur around one of its paws. Dog appears to be slightly dehydrated and accepted dog food without question. He has brown eyes and barks/whines when nothing appears to be wrong. He probably is missing his family. He was walking up and down Sackville Drive zig-zagging in and out of traffic and I picked him up. Animal Control has come to pick him up and is with the HRM.

Collar/Tags: Silver & grey. Has a cloth Martingale collar and a metal chain collar. Has a star shaped tag with his name & our phone number engraved on it.

Area: near Yarmouth Superstore,, Charles Crosby Drive, Yarmouth, NS

Additional Notes: He is friendly but may growl if playing around. He has grey /silver & white fur. he has brown eyes and a slight “mask” between his eyes. He is about 65 lbs. He escaped from our house near Yarmouth Superstore, near Charles Crosby Drive. He was last seen near Kent Building Supplies, & perhaps heading for the 101 Hwy. He was also seen at Subway, Ascencion Pet store & Shell gas station. He has been gone since around 11:30am this morning, Jan 4/13. He is very friendly & will usually go to anyone who calls him or invites him in their vehicle or house. Please call us (# on the tag) & ask for … if you find him. He is a dear, well loved pet & his companion, our other dog, Sadie, misses him.
