RAINBOW BRIDGE: Passed Away ~ It is with such a heavy heart that we share the passing of sweet, Shaggy. He was found by caring Traffic Control personnel who contacted his family. Ann and I and all the wonderful followers of NSLDN send out heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. We wish them strength to deal with the loss and peace and comfort in their memories of Shaggy. (8.4.15 – 8.13.15)

Additional Notes: Aug 4, 2015, Shaggy ran from his home this morning during the thunderstorm in the Cobequid Rd area, near Waverley, could of ran through the woods and train tracks off the Cobequid Rd /Rocky Lake Rd. area Shaggy is mostly grey, with some white, large dog, 80 pounds, looks like picture. He is friendly and loves a treat. He does have a microchip.

HAPPY ENDING: Home and Safe!! YEAH!! From his Family: “Jaxon was reported missing on August 3rd. He was found this afternoon!!! (at the vets now)… His leg is most likely broken. Thank you so much for helping us spread the word about Jax.” Awe… so thrilled that Jaxon was found and we all wish him a speedy recovery. Thanks so much to all who kept an eye out, re-routed their trips, searched and cared and shared his info. YIPPEE!! (8.3.15 – 8.8.15)

 

RECOVERY UPDATE: 8.19.15 ~ Jax will have a metal pin in his leg for at least the next three weeks. I think the hardest part for him is not being able to swim or play with his “girlfriend” Coco!  He had a check up this past Monday and the vet is so pleased with his progress so far!

Additional Notes: Jaxon is a friendly dog and has a slightly shy demeanor. He has shorter hair then the photo he has been just recently groomed. He is approximately 75 lbs, stands 28 inches at the shoulder and has a docked tail. We know he has been grazed by a car and limped away from the scene near the picnic park on Rocky Lake Rd.
