Area: The Bluff Wilderness Hiking Trail, Pot Lake Loop, Trailhead: 2890 St. Margaret’s Bay Rd, Timberlea, Halifax, NS
Additional Notes: We saw a female black lab (mix) roaming around the Bluff Wilderness Hiking Trail. We called 311, because we could see her licence number. The animal control officer could look up her owner, but when he called the number, it went straight to voice mail. I believe the dog’s name is Faye. I am not sure if they connected or not.
We were in a hurry and could not stay – the dog would not come to being called, and we did not have a leash to keep her.

Additional Notes: This beautiful, young, rambunctious dog was sighted at the Shubie Campground – Playground today, Oct 4, 2017 around 4 pm. He jumped right into the car. Unfortunately, they were unable to contain the dog as they were leaving the city and had a car full of kids. He was too excited for the young children; some were in the city to receive medical treatment via the IWK. Hopefully, in the future, the Shubie offices will be able to offer assisstance by calling Animal Control or by sharing contact info.
