HAPPY ENDING: Home safe n’ sound: Here is what we received from the owners:

“I have excellent news. Arwyn has been found. Arwyn came home last evening from the vets. She is doing fine although very tired and slightly dehydrated. She did test positive for Lyme disease and is slightly anemic which they will be following up on. She is on antibiotics and some easy to digest dog food.I received the call yesterday morning around 8:30 from Fall River Vet as the rabies collar had their number. Her name tag had fallen off. A women in Amherst Head around 16 km away had found her on her door step.”

Yippee!!  We are so happy to hear Arwyn is home and want to thank everyone that helped by spreading the news.  We are noticing a trend where dogs lost in the woods tend to come out after 5 or 6 days… once the fear subsides, and the hunger takes over.  Thanks everyone!!

2 LOST DOGS: New Glasgow/Greenhill area – missing 16/06 am. One is black her name is Bella, 2 years old, she has a white spot on her chest, not wearing a collar, and has a little bald spot on her head. The other one is white/tan in color, her name is Whistle she is 1 year old, she has a pink collar on, and has black spots on her tongue. They’re the same size, medium. They’re most likely together. FOUND DOG: TRURO/Abinackey Rd. – Male intact Shih Tzu 1-2 years of age. White with a bit of tan running through. All agencies in the area have been notified. He was found at approx 7:15 am on Tue June14/11.

June 14/11 – HAPPY ENDING: Home safe n’ sound:
“At 11:30 tonight our dogs arrived at the door,3 days and 6 hours after they disappeared. We all laughed and cried at the same time. Sophie and Rosa were wet, tired, and hungry and had quite a few ticks on them but were otherwise in very good shape. Rosa was especially traumatized by the whole thing but they are sleeping peacefully now so I would say that we are one lucky family. Thanks to all my friends who gave us much needed support, esp. JoAnne who opened a few doors so that we could get the best help. I will always be grateful.

Yippee!! What wonderful news!!  It must have been something to hear the dogs at the door… I would have loved to have been there… fantastic!!
