Area: The Bluff Wilderness Hiking Trail, Pot Lake Loop, Trailhead: 2890 St. Margaret’s Bay Rd, Timberlea, Halifax, NS
Additional Notes: We saw a female black lab (mix) roaming around the Bluff Wilderness Hiking Trail. We called 311, because we could see her licence number. The animal control officer could look up her owner, but when he called the number, it went straight to voice mail. I believe the dog’s name is Faye. I am not sure if they connected or not.
We were in a hurry and could not stay – the dog would not come to being called, and we did not have a leash to keep her.

HAPPY ENDING: Home, Safe n’ Sound! Yeah!! This beautiful fella luckily lived nearby and was home for supper. Thanks so much to those that reported this sighting and all that cared and shared his info. YIPPEE!! (10.4.17 – 10.4.17)

Additional Notes: This beautiful, young, rambunctious dog was sighted at the Shubie Campground – Playground today, Oct 4, 2017 around 4 pm. He jumped right into the car. Unfortunately, they were unable to contain the dog as they were leaving the city and had a car full of kids. He was too excited for the young children; some were in the city to receive medical treatment via the IWK. Hopefully, in the future, the Shubie offices will be able to offer assisstance by calling Animal Control or by sharing contact info.

Additional Notes: Dog was running along the highway by the speed limit sign. Dog is a brindle colour I AmStaff mix with a large white patch on its chest. Has a larger ears. Dog is very scared and would not come to us. Kept running into the woods. Doesn’t appear to be wearing a collar or tags. Very scared.

Additional Notes: This beagle was sighted roaming on the New Russell Rd in New Ross near Canoe Cove Cottage Rd, it was in the road then ran into the woods towards Canoe Cove Cottage Rd. Attached is a stock pic of a beagle as we weren’t able to get a pic, unsure if male or female. The sighting was last night around 8pm, posted on the new Ross buy and sell group to see if anyone was missing their dog.
