Neutered. Became seperated from owner behind Mel Braine ballfield early Sunday morning approx 0830, chased rabbit and ran downhill towards Morris Lake through brush. Usually Angus has smarts to return but must have become disorientated as this was an unfamiliar area. Owner and Angus’ littermate searched woods between Caldwell Rd Tim Hortons and Morris Lake, area behind ballfield and surrounding sub division. Placed flyers on community mailboxes in area. Thanks

UPDATE: 5.12.16 – MAX IS FOUND! Max is at Metro Animal Emergency Clinic after being hit by a car on the 102. He was able to run away from the accident, so we are hoping that is a good sign. Although we do know his injuries to be serious. Please join us in wishing Max a good prognosis and speedy recovery. Thinking of you beautiful Max…

Additional Notes: He has a short coat. He was wrapped around a tree and as we went to untangle him got scared at some noise and he bolted. He is extremely timid and anxious and will not likely come to a stranger, however if approached slowly will not be at all aggressive and probably follow. He gets along better with dogs than people and will generally follow their actions (eg. If they walk he will walk). He is slightly underweight as he is a recent rescue dog with long legs and a sleek body.

Once a dog is in the care of Animal Control it becomes a private legal matter between the city and the dog owner. However, we do know this dog is safe and no longer roaming. Additional Notes: Found dog roaming at 7am Monday morning, May 2nd. Only wearing a silver chain collar. Seemed really nervous, but friendly upon helping him. He seemed to be still pretty young, fully grown but healthy like a puppy. This dog is now safe with Animal Control.
