Area: Papermill Lake, Bedford, NS

Additional Notes: Both nervous but very friendly, very gentle dogs. Found roaming and very skittish through backyards and across roads in Papermill Lake area of Bedford. Valley Bulldog is mostly white with brindle markings, the Bulldog is reddish. No collars. Were very playful. Larger dog female, and smaller bulldog was male, unneutered. Found approx. 9:30am this morning. They have been picked up by Animal Control. Just wanted to note that Animal Control officer was amazingly kind and patient with these dogs, especially the big one who didn’t want to get in the kennel. Thank you.

She does not want to call the SPCA but there is no tag or number for her to call so if no one claims him in the next few days she will have to call. It is up on Springfield lake rd, middle Sackville

Sighted on: 8.25.13 around 10:48 a.m.

Area:  Joe St/Waverly Rd, Waverly, HRM, NS

Additional Info:  I was walking on the trial on the Waverley Road and I spotted a very shaggy small white dog. It ran into the woods as I walked along. As I got closer it bolted out of the woods up to highway number 2 on the Waverley Road this was around Joe street. I went back the way i came. and later I was in my car returning home. ( about 30 mins later) the same dog was running on the Waverley Road. It was closer to Dartmouth but not too far from where I initially saw it. It again ran into the woods when I stopped my car. The dog was in traffic prior to this weaving to avoid getting hit.

I would say the dog was about 20 lbs white poodle mix or possible pure poodle. It looked very matted and a mess. So it had possibly been running a long time. It was very anxious. I reported it to animal control immediately at 1048am this morning.
