My husband used to own the North Mt. Gun club – and when he was working there he would take the dog. One day the dog wandered off and after trying to find him to no avail – Dave left his jacket and came home. We checked continuously but no luck – then we heard that someone has seen him in Mordon – and that was where he was( this was a month later) – he had traveled a long way! Just a thought to maybe look farther afield – I have been praying that you find him.
I sent an email to the owner through the PawBoost site and never received a response so I have cut and pasted it below. Maybe, just maybe it will help…..

This may or not be helpful but I thought I should share…
Yesterday, Wednesday April 10th, around noon I saw a man walking a Basset Hound on the south side of Hwy. 1 between Middleton main street at the lights and the Big Scoop. It did strike me as unusual because it’s the first one I have seen in the area. Anyhow, I’m so sorry, I was preoccupied and can’t define the exact location, but I think it was in town. I was unable to stop to chat with the man, as I was rushing to an appointment. I will say that the dog did not appear to be a pup but I di think it appeared to be a male at a quick glance driving by.
Best of luck to you and I will continue to keep my eye out for Kevin. I assume all the vets have been contacted within 50 miles or so. Is he microchipped or tattooed? I just can’t imagine losing any one of my 4 dogs, especially for so long. My thoughts and prayers are with Kevin and his people.
