HAPPY ENDING: Home, Safe n’ Sound!! Yippee… This old guys parents picked him up at the Pound, he’s home now. Big thanks to the kind folks that took this dog in and kept him safe and warm. Thanks to all who shared his info and got the word out. Terrific! (2.12.12 – 2.14.12)
FOUND: a lost dog in our back yard (looks like an english bulldog) on Feb 11 around 10pm near Kinsac Road, Beaver bank area. We eventually had to call the HRM Animal Services and they came to picked him up around 12am. He is an old, dark sandy color english bulldog. we think it weights around 50 lb.

If this is the same dog I have seen for yrs on my bus route… this dog is from the Trinity Ln area ( off Beaver Bank Rd ). I don’t know the address or owners but have seen them out for walks.
I sure hope the owners get their dog back, i have two bullies and i know how much they mean to me, but if for some reason the owner isn’t located I would adopt him 🙂
Hey Shawna,
That’s a wonderful offer. As the dog is with Animal Control, run by Homeward Bound City Pound you will have to deal with them regarding adoption. Legally, the dog is kept for three business days, and then given to Homeward Bound City Pound for adoption. And from there, the dog may be given to another rescue or put into foster care. Your best bet, is to go to Homeward Bound and fill out an adoption application and get pre-approved for adoption. That should put you first in line for adoption. Their website is http://www.citypound.ca. Best of luck, and thank you for your grand offer.
Sincerely,
Ann Morrison
