HAPPY ENDING: Home Safe n’ Sound! Or well, coming home, being walked home by his rescuer right now. Fantastic!! Thank you everyone for spreading the word, and to the rescuer for taking such good care of him. Wonderful news! Updated Oct 10/11
Our (black) flat-coated retriever mix “Java” got out through an open window late Sunday afternoon, October 9, on Pleasant Street near Portland (Five Corners area). He is a flat-coated retriever mix, is neutered, micro-chipped and wearing a black nylon collar with one metal tag and the remains of a yellow plastic tag. He looks like a small all-black golden retriever with wavy hair and a feathery tail. He weighs just under 50 lbs., is very friendly and is attracted to other dogs. He is excitable in the presence of small children, birds, skateboarders and bicycles. He is not road savvy. Thanks so much.
