RAINBOW BRIDGE: Passed Away: Lost Dog: Shubenacadie, Hants Co., NS — German Shepherd, Male, 1.5 — “Deek”

Deek

RAINBOW BRIDGE: Passed Away: From Deeks devastated family: “It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we report we have found Deek.  He was found in the manure pit behind the barn.  We believe he fell through the ice.  My mother wanted me to let you know and our family would like to take this time to thank you and everyone who took the time to help us try to find our boy.  He will be so very greatly missed. Today has been a horrible day.  We just want to let everyone know how much it meant to us and we’re in awe of how quickly people pulled together to want to help and how much love, help, and support we received while trying to find him.  So again thank you and thank you to everyone who kept an eye out for our boy. ” Please join us in sending heartfelt condolences to all of Deek’s family and friends. We hope in time, knowing what happened will help ease their pain and in time, only smiles will remain whenever they think of their beautiful boy. RIP DEEK! (3.9.17 – 5.17.17)

This may not be and I hope it isn’t. But there is a dog that appears to have the colouring of a German Shepherd that was struck on hwy 102, north bound. Just before the U-turn before exit 13A. I noticed this dog on Saturday evening (lying in the grass). I hope it isn’t yours, but I also hope who ever is missing him or her can retrieve and give him or her a proper resting place.

      Hello Kara,

Unfortunately the dog that was found does not match Deke – it is a mixed breed Shep, possibly some husky or Collie in its make up.

      Thanks for caring.
